Game Voting Sites: How to Grow a Fair Community Toplist

A game voting site lets players support games they enjoy and helps other players discover them. ARCAVOTE offers free game listings and community-ranked voting for browser, PC and mobile games. This guide explains what an owner can actually configure, what votes measure, and how optional reward callbacks work.

Step 1

List your game and get reviewed

Owners can submit a description, game website, supported platforms and optional artwork. ARCAVOTE reviews the listing before voting is enabled. Editorial directory entries may be visible without an approved owner, but they do not accept ranking votes until claimed and approved.

Clear descriptions help players understand what they are choosing. Explain what makes your game distinctive rather than using copied text or exaggerated player-count claims.

Step 2

Add your voting link or button

After approval, copy a game-specific voting URL or one of ARCAVOTE's embeddable buttons. You can put it on your website, Discord community or in a game menu. Players confirm the vote on ARCAVOTE, where anti-bot checks and voting limits apply.

The owner dashboard contains a guided Voting setup page with small and large HTML buttons, player-specific voting links and callback options. A player link only prefills an identifier; opening it does not cast a vote.

Step 3 · Optional

Verify votes before issuing rewards

If your game awards in-game currency or other benefits for confirmed votes, configure a server-side callback. ARCAVOTE signs its notifications with HMAC-SHA256. Your server must check the signature, timestamp and duplicate deliveries before crediting a player.

Only your game server can confirm that a reward was actually issued. A successful HTTP response from the callback endpoint does not prove the player was credited. Never embed your callback secret in client-side code.

How the rankings work

Community votes, not paid rank positions

Approved games appear in rankings based on votes from players. Limits help reduce repeat voting, and monthly vote counters reset. Optional Boost, Spotlight and Takeover products can change visibility, but they do not add votes or change the order of the organic toplist.

Votes reflect participation by a community on ARCAVOTE. They are not independent product reviews, an app-store rating, a player-count estimate or a guarantee of a game's uptime.

Common questions about game voting

Can I submit a game for free?

Yes. Owners can submit a free listing. Voting becomes public after approval; paid placement is optional.

Can players vote from a mobile device?

The ARCAVOTE voting page works in the browser. Players still need to complete the standard validation steps and respect the cooldown.

How do I know a vote reward worked?

Your server should verify the signed notification, apply its own one-time crediting logic and log the result. An HTTP 2xx reply only acknowledges receipt.
